Me and my new Mom and Dad
Cooper

6/10/17 Tiny, not even 4 pound, Cooper was adopted today. This young fellow needed a home where a puppy his age could run and have lots of fun. But he didn't want any cats or kids, and he wanted someone home with him most of the day. It had to be a special family for him. Cooper went to that special home today. He has a perfect mom and dad who stay home a lot and will be with him all the time. They promised to take him everywhere they go that a pup can go, to play with him, and let him run around in his nice fenced yard. Cooper will have a lot of fiends to play with too. We are so happy that Cooper the Cutie found his perfect forever home. He gets to live Happily Forever After for sure.

Here's what Cooper had to say about his new home and family:

My new mom and dad are the greatest ever! And a bonus - I have a new fur sister, Ella. Me and Ella hit it off right away. She loves to play as much as I do. I have a beautiful, safe backyard to run in while mom and dad watch me. They love to watch me and Ella run around, chase lizards and just have a great time.

I have a new comfy bed, lots of new toys and new clothes. I'll be "stylin". I met some new (human) neighbors. They both knew I was arriving today and had to stop by to meet me. They gave me kisses and I returned the same. They were so nice. What a day I've had. There were so many new and wonderful things and a great adventure. I think I'm gonna like it here. No, I'm gonna LOVE it here!

I wouldn't have this new life if my Foster Mom hadn't sprung me from Animal Control in April. I was so scared, but as soon as my Foster Mom held me, I knew I'd be safe and well cared for. I was sick when she picked me up, so she took me to a new dogtor who gave me some medicine and special food to help me gain weight. I weighed less than three pounds!

The good medicine and food soon had me feeling so much better. Oh, and the love I received from my Foster Mom really helped, too. I will forever be grateful for United Yorkie Rescue for saving my life. I am so happy now and I know I will be furever.

Jack

6/3/2017 - Boy, I began my day bright and early. Breakfast at 5:30 and by 6:30 am, I was in the car. The vet does not open until 7:45 where on earth were we going? I rode for 3 hours, stopping 3 times to stretch Foster Mom's legs and to let her potty (she has to stop so many times!). Finally, we turned on this street, then we turned on another, and then I saw this pretty blonde lady standing outside. Boy, I thought, I wish she could be my furever mom, she sure looks like she would love me. Foster Mom passed by her house and went down to the end of the street, driving very slowly. Then we turned around and then Foster Mom saw the pretty lady in the drive way. Then we stopped. And then, guess what . . . . we got out! And then another lady came out of the house with a camera, and started taking pictures. Gee, I had no idea I was so famous. Then a truck drove up and this nice man got out to see me. He got off work just to meet me today. WOW! Next a pup came out of the house, his name is Simon, and he was the same size as me! What was this place . . . could this be my furever? Then we all went inside and the pretty lady showed me all the toys, and the food bowl. Simon let me have some of his water. Simon and I jumped on the couch and began to play with the nice man. Then I heard Foster Mom say "Of course he can stay" . . was she talking about me? Yes! Simon and I jumped off the couch and we ran around the living room and the dining room chasing each other, wagging our tails and barking. Everyone was laughing, and I was so happy, because I had a furever. The pretty lady and the very nice man were going to be my mom and dad and I got a bonus, I got a brother too. As Foster Mom was leaving, belly rubs were in process, lots of love was being given and stories were being told of a big farm Grandma and Grandpa lived on, right down the street and Simon and I will be going there to play almost every day, with a little girl pup and we have lots and lots of room to run and play.

Thanks UYR for taking me in and finding me my furever. I'm gonna love it here!.

Love, Jack

Diego

With Fatima and Randy...the boys couldn't stop giving them kisses. They had already bought them beds, outfits, harness, toys in anticipation of approval..they were certain they had found their babies. They have that quality that all dogs would just love them. Fatima is a doting mother, not only to her daughter but to the babies. Randy as well.

They loved playing with Sofias Dimitri (former UYR foster Rebel) and Carmella and everyone loves everyone. Pj and Diego acted as if they belonged there. The boys loved the dogs, the family, courtyard, the house...everything. Sofia will be leaving the house soon, so there will be no fur babies in their home, and they prayed they would find their babies to love.

Fatima and I talk weekly since meeting her almost a year ago. I was processing her application for Jaspers adoption request and others that were coming in. She had hoped one day that they would be Jaspers new family but he became our FO. She has watched our site and called me regarding adoption again.

When she called me last week about the babies, I told her I had to make sure these babies were medically cleared before I did anything. I honestly was worried when they sent Diego labs to A&M but Sam explained it better to me when I picked up the paperwork. Their machine just could not get a definitive reading of his TSH...and it is in perfect range. Best news ever.

Fatima and Randy are beautiful, loving people that just have such a love of family and God. I'm so grateful they chose these 2 little seniors...it's such a win win. Happy Tails with lots of love for these sweet babies!

Max has a FUREVER!
Max

I'm adopted! And what a family I have. I just can't wait to tell you all about them. Well, you see there's my new Mom, isn't she just the prettiest lady you have ever seen, and she is so kind and gentle with me. That's Mojo there in Mom's lap. Mojo was left at the groomer and no one never came back for him, so MY NEW MOM took him home with her. He has a problem digesting protein, (he can't) so he's on a special diet and sees the dogtor quarterly to have his labs measured. I didn't really care for Mojo's food, so that won't be a problem. And then there's Dad. Well, let me tell you about Dad . . . Dad has a camper, and we're all going camping Memorial Day weekend. And Dad has my number, cause you see . . . Mojo was a runner when he came here, and Dad kept running after him until he stopped running and now Mojo doesn't run anymore cause they love him so much like they will love me! And get this - Dad's Mom RAISED YORKIES! So they know all about me. Well, I have to go now. I have to meet my sister and her husband, and his parents, but first we are going to Pet Smart! All of us! Thank you UYR for finding me my furever! I PROMISE to be good. I am so so happy and although I will miss you all, my new Mom and Dad said they'd keep in touch!

Love, Max

Lexi with her furever mom & dad
Lexi

Lexi has been adopted today and Foster Mom and UYR are over the moon excited and happy. Lexi came to us from a Vet's office in Sanford, FL where she had been dropped off by her owner that requested she be euthanized. They said she was urinating all over and biting the children.

Bless the Vet's office for contacting UYR and asking if we would take her. Lexi went home with foster Mom very frightened and unsure of her future. Foster Mom was sure that this little scared Angel would be with her for a very long time as she had been through so many changes and was so frightened it would take a long time for her to trust again. She was also a very sick little girl that needed medical care.

It took a while and a lot of Vet visits and a lot of care and understanding and love to get Lexi ready for her forever home. Foster Mom is so very proud of her. Lexi worked very hard to make this happen. She is a very strong determined girlie girl and she is not one to let her bad past dictate her bright, happy future.

The great news for Lexi is that her forever family Angels found her. They were so concerned for her and followed her progress. They knew that she was the one for them and that they were for sure her forever family. They never gave up and waited so patiently through all of her Vet visits and treatments.

Today was such a happy day!!! Lexi went home with her forever family and she will live the rest of her life loved and happy the way all rescue dogs should.

Mikey and his new Furever Mom!
Mikey

5/11/17 Mickey was adopted today. Despite his rough start in life, being tied to a tree and abandoned at an apartment complex, Mikey is a bouncy, loving and funny boy. He needed some extra love and training from his foster mom. Finally after 6 months in his foster home getting the love, care, and socialization skills he needed, Mikey found the perfect forever home. He will be an only dog, which is what Mikey wanted. He also has a big fenced yard, just exactly right for this active guy. Life just got perfect for Mikey. A happy ending for a wonderful, deserving fellow.

Ty & his new sister Ruby with Mom & Dad
Ty

Tiny Ty is 7 years old and weighs only 4.5 pounds. He was adopted by a former adopter who has previously adopted 2 UYR foster dogs. Here's what they had to say once they arrived home with sweet Ty .....

Ty followed his new fursister Ruby right into his new home and explored his new surroundings by going into every room. Then he and Ruby decided that their big adventure tired them out, and they both took a nap. Once nap-time was over, Ty was still curious about his new home and his new sister and wanted to make sure he got a good smell of her - sniff, sniff - wow, she smells just like the rest of the house! He made himself right at home, as if he had been there forever. His new momma and daddy are thrilled to have been lucky enough to adopt this little bundle of joy. They are both retirees, so Ty will get a ton of attention from them, just like he did in his previous home. Have a Happy Life, Little Ty!

Happy Tails TN Toby!
TN Toby

TN Toby meets Furever . . . .

In Toby's words.....

It's 11:40 a.m. they are in the drive way . . . Where is Foster Mom? She's supposed to let them in. There it is, the garage door is opening. She's home! Hope they haven't left! I hear them coming up the steps, they are all coming through the basement! Move over Roscoe! Out of my my way Zen! Max, will you PLEASE stop blocking the gate! This is MY TIME! I'm running now......I can see them! Out of the gate and into the arms of furever. Mom was first, I remembered my manners, and then Dad. My furever friend, my furever companion, my furever Dad! I am so excited, Hi Dad! It's a boy! It's me, Toby! I've been waiting furever to see you, and I really can, see you. We have so much to do, so much to see, so many places to go, so let's go let's go let's go! Bye Foster Mom! I love you too! Tell everyone THANK YOU! For restoring my sight; for loving me, for finding me my very own humans; FUR EVERYTHING!

From Foster Mom: And just like that, vet checks ups and medications were discussed, blankets, toys and food for the road dispersed, papers were signed, harness and leads were attached, the car door open and like a streak of lightening, in went Toby. He settled right down on Dad's lap and was ready to occupy the co-pilot's seat; Mom at the wheel.

What a sight to behold, but I am certain the sight from Toby's view was a dream come true. I know one thing, Today I witnessed a Happy Tail!
